JANUS was renowned in Roman mythology as the god of doorways and passages – he is depicted with two faces, one on each side of his head and often associated with looking forward, as into the new year, as well as backward, into the past year. SeaBoard, like Janus, will try to sum-up the past year and peer forward into the coming year in this final paper of 2007. This year’s essay starts by looking at the main communications-related events/products/ services/innovations/disasters of 2007. It then turns its focus forward, to what we expect will be a dramatic 2008. |
