Regulatory Advisor
Mairi MacDonald is a regulatory advisor to the SeaBoard Group, based in Toronto.
Ms. MacDonald has over twenty years' experience in the Canadian and international telecommunications industry. A lawyer by training, she has represented the interests of Canadian telecommunications companies and their customers to the CRTC and Industry Canada, including proceedings to establish the principles and practices of competition in the long distance, local and digital wireless markets. As a consultant, Ms. MacDonald has advised corporations, governments and international organizations on a range of communications policy and regulatory matters. She began her career with Canada's federal government, serving with the CRTC, the Competition Bureau, and the Department of Justice during the revision of Canada's legislative framework for both telecommunications and broadcasting.
Ms. MacDonald holds a B.A. from Queen's University and LL.B. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto. She has been a member of the Ontario Bar since 1986. |
